First Love
In my life these past several years, I have been experiencing a return to my First Love Jesus and a deeper realization of the grace of God. I know that I barely know God and even if I spent every second of my entire life pursuing him I still would not even begin to know him in his greatness. It is far beyond human comprehension and I will be spending the rest of eternity getting to know him. I am reminded that just as any other relationship is developed through interaction, so my…

A Great Awakening
Before we came to Manchester over 20 years ago, God told us that we had a choice – we could grow old with the traditional church or we could become a sacrifice for the next generation.
We are on a journey of laying down our lives in service – one of the keys for all our futures is to raise up a bold generation of young people who will stand firm and raise the banner of truth and justice. I believe in our midst that God is bringing together those with gifts and skills who…

Freedom Requires Choice
Happy Memorial Day!
It is for freedom He set us free.
Freedom has a cost, requires us to make a decision and places a determination in us to move forward.
Slavery does not require decision, tenacity or any kind of resolve from us but actually invites complacency because we allow someone or something else to dictate our lives. A false perception is that just because our basic needs are provided for we are walking in freedom and…

A Worldwide Shift
God’s heart for his Church in this season is to grow and develop something established in Kingdom identity as an expression of Christ’s life through us. His call to his church at this time is to bring heaven down to earth and to gather together those who desire to grow in his ways and be committed to praying together.
In this way we establish Kingdom principles and experience God’s presence in our midst. Our goal should be to seek God’s face, search the Scriptures and…

The Lord of Heaven's Armies is her among us.
Proclaiming God's Word over His people this morning. The Lord of Heaven's Armies is her among us. He is with you today, even now. Amen!
Psalm 46 (NLT)
1 God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
3 Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
4 A river brings joy to the city of…

The Mountain of God
A while back we commented on the exchange Jesus had with his disciples in Matthew 24:15“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel.” This is part of a shocking account of the events that will usher in the end of the age. Here’s the comment we made back then:
“One of the most horrific events he describes is what he alludes to in vs.15 as, ‘the sacrilegious object that causes…

The Baby and the Kingdom of God
“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2 Peter 1:3-4…

The Faithfulness of God
I think most people encounter frustrating seasons at one time or another; times when promises made don’t seem to be being fulfilled. But, what is really frustrating is when it happens to us; especially when we’re Christians! We know we have God on our side, that we’re working with him and we just know that everything will work out alright in the end, in fact, we have a promise to that effect: Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love…

The refining and redefinition of life
The refining and redefinition of life.
written by Michael McBane
I once had a word given to me that said I had an anointing on me to write, and I would write from the deep things that the Lord would form in the seasons of my life. I would not echo the words of others but would have the words I would write formed by the experience of God in my life. I therefore…

Moving forward by His Spirit.
Moving forward with His Spirit. written by MIchael McBane I have observed that many who have served the Lord with longevity, to clarify more, those who have been shaken by the Lord so there seems to be little that remains, so that they will not be encumbered by what was, or by sin, are in a very interesting place. Everything seems to be subjected to an almost unseen standard. Their reasoning, thinking, motivation is being turned inside out. What we have embraced as true, is being shaken to…

Untamed! Unashamed! Unrestrained Lovers of God!
Every aspect of Christ’s nature: spirit, soul and body, bore the curse on our behalf. The very soul of our precious Lord was ravaged by confusion, grief and turmoil.
Behold the Lamb of God: hung upon the cross naked before His enemies, consumed by our sin, abandoned by His earthly friends and by His heavenly…

God's River
"God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
A river brings joy to the city of our God,
the sacred home of the Most High.
God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
From the very break of day, God will protect it."
