Knowing and Being Known

9479699697?profile=original“As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] He will let you find Him; but if you abandon (turn away from) Him, He will reject you forever.”

Just curious? Do you understand because of the knowledge you have learned? Or, do you gain more knowledge because of understanding? Both are true. The word Knowledge is a deeply personal word. Wisdom will come as you seek God and listen intently to Him.

“the oracle of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Highest, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling with his eyes” Numbers 24:16 (ESV)

The scriptures from Solomon’s experience with God are pregnant with wisdom. “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;” (Proverbs” 2:6&10)

[Have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity]

As you meet with Heavenly Father,  you are promised: with the guarantee of Calvary, revelatory knowledge of Him. Personal knowledge of Him opens the door to further knowledge and wisdom. Following is another doorway to knowledge and wisdom. “For in much wisdom is much vexation, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.” (Ecclesiastes:1:18)

“You can learn the most during times of pain and tears. If you embrace the pain or the failure, you will discover how to overcome past hurts and grow as a person. In   meet you during these struggles, and give you strength. Through these times, you will GAIN WISDOM AND PEACE FOR THE FUTURE!”  (Eric Brookins.)

Traversing the way to maturity, requires both knowledge and wisdom. Wisdom is like knowing the Pacific Ocean, ounce by ounce. We cannot. Only listening to Him, is the way to the knowledge we need to gain Wisdom daily. Wisdom opens our lives to understanding, insight, perception,  sense, and intellect. Most important, is the childlike and simple path to Father’s heart discovered daily. Our identity and uniqueness are secured in knowing His heart! Ron Ross
