I absolutely love this part of following Jesus! His epiphanies awaken me to the depths, widths, lengths, and heights of His love. Even when I am struggling through moments of isolation and depression his love remains constant and unquestionable!
Those who know me, know that I am simply a graced and favored follower of Jesus. He is all in all! He is faithful and true! He is a kind and loving! There is never a moment in my life in Him that he withdraws any part of His character from me.
But, I am prone to wander from Him! What does Jesus do at those moments? He gives me serendipitous epiphanies! He has never once chided or shamed me. Instead he entices me back to his embrace. He graces me! He transforms my thinking and I suddenly understand his amazing love; just as I did the very first time my mind opened to it. That is the awakening that changes everything!
Jesus loves you and me; this I know! His presence and pursuit tell me so. The Bible reinforces what His embrace has already told me by means of epiphanies. Yes, Jesus loves you and me! Look for his love with a blazing pursuit! You will find him knocking on the door of your heart. Shalom… In quiet and stillness once again open the door of your heart. On the other side of the door is another epiphany… “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in. I will eat with that person, and they will eat with me.” Revelation 3:21
