You Are God’s Dream Mansion

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you,  I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:1-4 NKJV

“Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” John 14:23 NLT

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: Love each other.” John 15:16-17 NLT

God loves us just as we are but sees us as complete manifesting himself to us and through us allowing his glory to shine.

Consider for a moment of buying your dream mansion and some of the renovations you may want to do to enhance the beauty and functionality of your new home. Maybe, you would knock a wall down to enlarge the dining area so that you can invite more guests in to dine with you and enjoy fellowship. What about expanding the kitchen and installing new appliances that enable you to prepare culinary delicacies to serve to your guests. It could entail much work to achieve these goals but the results could be fabulous. You may decide to install a beautiful stained glass window where the light inside the house floods its phenomenal brightness out into the dark night or allows the early morning sunshine to flood the room with God’s brilliant light and color. In order to achieve this goal it requires cutting a hole completely through the wall at precisely the right point and size for precision fit in order to mount the window. Maybe, you put in a beautiful picture window so you can sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee and view the gorgeous front yard with its garden of flowers and humming birds collecting their food while you relax enjoying the peaceful scenery. You may decide to plant a variety of fruit trees in the back yard so you can invite others in to enjoy delicious fruit or juices filling their hunger and thirst. So, what is God doing with each of us as he forms us into his dream home, his mansion where he dwells and manifests his presence into the world? We are temples of the Holy Spirit and he makes his home in us so he can reveal himself to those we encounter daily. In order to accomplish this task it requires a transformation of our heart to bring about his desired changes. These seasons of growth may seem difficult but are the changes God initiates to bring about a reflection of his glory that completely transforms our lives. God executes these changes in our lives because he delights in us and wants the best for us while we enjoy the benefits of his presence.
