Dear KPS Member.

Let us remind ourselves of the task that is at hand.

Matthew 9:36-38
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

What a challenge found in this scripture that awaits us as we get up every morning! We must not run from this beckoning call of our Savior, as we are all needed on the front lines of this epic clash of the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light.

Socialism and such ideas are rampant as they are seeking equality and justice, but at all the wrong places. It seems that much of our country is becoming a trophy of hell.
Watch the live feed tonight on KPS facebook or on KPS main page at 7pm eastern standard time as we pray for our church's and our nation. We will try to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to us. We really need your help.
Please consider the following video as our North Carolina Lieutenant Governor, Mark Robinson, is becoming salt and light to our nation.

Faith and Risk

Faith and Risk

Anything in life that is profitable requires an element of risk. Nelson Mandela once said, “There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” You will never be able to move forward in life without risk being part of the equation. Taking the first step forward is always the hardest part of taking a risk, for this is the first step of “taking action”. We are not here to just wait; instead, we are here to move forward and to move forward we must be willing to take risks.

Risk is an action of faith. Faith in God and faith that He has put you here to make a difference. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” God forbid that we become content with our daily routine day after day. To live with God and take a risk for His kingdom is a great adventure of faith, and not fear. At times, fear takes on the illusion of safety, such as we should not ask, or we should not be bold in making our request known. Fear is fear no matter how you frame it. The definition of “bold” is “showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous”.

Today let’s take risks in prayer for the Kingdom of God. We will take risks and get out of the boat and attempt to walk on water, the first step. We will take risks and ask for the impossible before our God.

Proverbs 28:1

28 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Philemon 1:8

For this reason, although I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do what is right.

Ephesians 3:11-12

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Hebrews 10:19-25

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Blessings,

Alan
