It is with a thankful heart that I write to you with an update of all the Lord has done since my last trip to Uganda in March. Thank you for standing with me, praying for me, and supporting me during this time. Moving forward, I’ll be giving ministry updates every couple weeks of testimonies, prayer points, devotionals, and plans for where God is sending us. I also want to start praying for and ministering to my partners, so please let me know if you have any prayer requests!
I wanted to start by saying thank you so much for all of your financial giving and prayers. Your donations have gone towards the cost of the last trip to Uganda, we are sending money monthly to support the children at the orphan home with food, education, and bible teaching, and we are setting aside funds every month for it to go towards our next mission trip to Uganda and beyond. More details of mission trips to come in this letter! So thank you for your monthly partnership as it is all being used to reach the lost, care for orphans, minister to pastors and leaders, and going to the nations!
Firstly, I wanted to share that I got married! The Lord brought me a wonderful wife, named Olivia. We met at church, and started dating soon after getting back from my trip to Uganda in March. To share about her briefly, she loves the Lord and has a deep intimacy with Him, she’s a mighty prayer warrior, a worship leader, and she has a heart for the lost and discipleship. When sharing my heart with her for bringing the gospel to the lost, the unreached, and discipleship, she began crying saying, “that’s the whole point!” Let us all weep for the lost and for all nations to hear this glorious Gospel of Jesus, until every tribe, tongue, and nation has heard! Olivia will be coming with me on some trips, and some she will stay home praying, fasting, and taking care of things at home. We will pray into each one she is to go on. I am excited to see how the Lord uses us as a united team and multiplies what He does through us being one in Him.
Next, we have a date for the next mission trip to Uganda! We all decided on the next trip being the last week of January. It will be similar to the last trip where we will have a two day pastors' gathering in the afternoons and evangelism crusade to the lost at night. Since we are giving an early notice, the local team will have much more time to advertise throughout Uganda and surrounding countries so that more can come this time. While there, we will visit and minister to the orphan home that Annah and her husband have. We’ll also minister to some of the local leaders to encourage and uplift them to continue the work of the ministry on the ground.
Another big update is that the Lord has opened up another nation, India! The Lord has spoken to me for years now about going to minister to the unreached in India. He has now opened a door and confirmed it from prophetic words from a trusted prophet. David and I discussed it being the next trip after Uganda, hopefully a couple or few months following the trip in January. What we know now is that there are several pastors and ministries that we have connections with throughout India that would love for us to come minister with them and pour into them. So far we see ourselves doing pastors gatherings, ministering at the pastors’ churches, and we will pray into how we can do an evangelism to the lost. India is the most populous nation in the world, and home to more unreached people than any other nation in the world. With such a vast population and the highest number of unreached people groups, India is one of the greatest needs for the Gospel. The persecution of the church has also increased over the years making it number 12 in most persecuted countries, just behind Afghanistan. With these facts and it being called “the land of a million gods”, the Lord wants to bring His light into the darkness, bring freedom to the captives, and proclaim the Gospel to those who haven’t heard!
Further, I had the opportunity to preach the gospel on the radio which reaches all of East Africa! The testimonies from just two times were incredible to hear, and what a privilege to lead many to Christ just from sitting in my car to those listening across the world in a mud-home or under a jackfruit tree in Africa. The last figures of impact I have heard from the radio ministry is that over 650,000 people have been saved, over 230 churches planted with around an average of 200 people attending each church, and around 50,000 pastors listening all over east Africa. What an honor to be a part of this revival in Uganda!
Over the next couple weeks, I’m excited to share with you specific testimonies that have come in since the last pastors gathering and crusade to Uganda as well as testimonies from ministering on the radio.
Prayer points:
I need to gather a dedicated intercessory team who will pray for Olivia and I and the missions on a consistent basis. The places we go to require this with the level of spiritual warfare in these regions. Please pray and let me know if you want to be a part of this team. My relationships and financial partners are a part of my prayer team, but I’m also gathering an additional “seal team”, if you will, of prayer warriors.
Please pray for our next trip to Uganda. For souls to be won, for pastors to be raised up and encouraged, for freedom to the captives, and for healing to the oppressed.
If these stories encourage you, pray about who you can share Jesus with in your family or work place to bring the light of Christ to all nations!
Thank you so much for reading, and I look forward to sharing more consistently in the weeks to come the testimonies of all the Lord is doing through all of us in the ministry!
Love and blessings,
Blake Harvey
