Nurtured by Your Salvation

"But when God, our kind and loving Savior God, stepped in, he saved us from all that (the junk B.C....before Christ). It was all his doing: we had nothing to do with it. He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Our Savior Jesus poured out new life so generously; God's gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there's more life to come--an eternity of life! You can count on this. I want you to put your foot down. Take a firm stand on these matters so that those who have put their trust in God will concentrate on the essentials that are good for everyone." Titus 3:4-8, The Message. In light of such a grand salvation, be done with lesser squabbles or issues. There is always something to debate; but, it is never essential. It matters little, if any. So much of our spiritual, mental and emotional energy is wasted or miss-spent on non-essentials. 'Today is the day of salvation.' Insist on nothing less than the reason Jesus died. Put your foot down and focus on what is essential-a fresh outpouring of Holy Spirit! The great commission to take the gospel to every creature is yet to be finished.First and foremost; are you grateful each day for your own salvation and the precious gift of intimate relationship that Jesus purchased on Calvary? When Jesus addressed His Father by using the name “Abba” (dear daddy or Papa)-He began a Revolution that continues to this day.Our relationship with “Abba” has been restored to a pre-fallen 'garden of Eden' state. Because of Jesus we can walk in the cool of the garden with our Heavenly Father. How cool is that? Not to mention the soul bath we get inside and out by His Holy Spirit.I wasn't just given back my life; I was given a brand new life-eternal and abundant! As a result of these glorious truths, I can keep the main thing the main thing-today. I can love God with my all, and my neighbor (near ones) as myself. Are you insisting on nothing less than another great awakening to our glorious Salvation? With this focus, I feel like I just got saved! Maybe I did! Your salvation will 'nurture' you today. In the grip of ‘saving’ grace, Ron Ross
