The Grace to be...
"Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of the 'brightest and the best' among you, not many of the influential, not many from high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses chose these 'no-bodies' to expose the hollow pretensions of the 'somebody’s'? 1 Corinthians 1:26-27, The Message.
I was especially; 'brightest of the bright', 'influential' and 'high society' when God called me off the 'streets' into His family. As a matter of fact, He paid a handsome 'finder’s fee' to my 'street-hippie' agent. Not! It's not who we were when He calls us, it's who we become after He calls us, that matters. Everything we are is 'grace'! On our own merits, we cannot receive this life, for even receiving it is a gift of grace. "The grace to grasp grace is grace" Brennen Manning.
This grace enables us to discover who we really are. It empowers us to live in our true identity-to be our true self and live out of the heart Jesus gave us.
