Judgment or Grace

The truth concerning grace is the most wonderful message that we must declare. Over the past several decades, the gospel of the grace of God has been used and misused by many to continue in their sins. Paul the Apostle writes in Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? The obvious answer is no. Again, in Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. We have been sliding down a slippery slope of ungodliness that has been justified in people’s sinful behavior for a long time.

We now justify immorality of nearly every kind by using the word grace. We are presently at the point when the grace of God is used for a license to sin. This has even led people to redefine the truth based on their opinions or perceptions of life. Now, we are standing in judgment over those who need grace and giving grace to those who do not ask for grace.

The Church has seemingly added a spiritual gift and ministry to our body. We now have spiritual investigators who stand in judgment and bring execution. Today, the death of a ministry has taken place by giving way to a new ministry of investigative spiritual police. When God exposes sin, the response is always repentance. If repentance does not come, more judgment follows. On several occasions in the book of Revelation, it is said that the people repented not of their deeds; therefore, the judgment of God intensified on the earth.  When repentance fundamentally tied to restoration is not sought after, judgment is all left. May I add that this kind of judgment leaves us with no hope. Judgment for the sake of execution is not founded in the word of God.

The two extremes seem to rule the day. Either grace is given to cover sin, or judgment is pursued without hope of restoration. Both extremes are not Biblically founded. If we throw away the absolute of the Word of God, our opinion formed out of the secular society is all we have to govern the house of God with. At that point, we have become nothing more than a psychological gathering. Preachers, for the most part, will follow the path of practicing psychology without a license and leading people down a path of destruction.

God’s grace leads us to deny ungodliness in our lives through the gift of repentance that he gave us through the work of the cross. Grace received changes the direction of behavior and the mind concerning our thoughts of right and wrong. The thought process of right and wrong must hold to the standard of God’s Word.

Those who have appointed themselves as the new investigators for the body of Christ and pronounced judgment over those they believe have sinned without offering grace, and repentance has failed concerning the gospel. Those who have apologized for offering grace and repentance have failed concerning the gospel. We can no longer offer grace as a license to sin, and neither can we offer judgment without the hope of grace if we have any hope of surviving while the darkness of the strategy of Satan picks us off one at a time.

Are there certain sins that God cannot forgive? The only sin that cannot be forgiven is the one that is never confessed. If God will refuse certain sinners then no one has hope in Christ.
